New band from Toronto makes a wonderful debut that's like the Postal Service without the synths. Every time I want the kidz to listen to a record, I trick them by saying it sounds like the Postal Service. Like, "new doom sludge band plays one detuned guitar for 40 minutes...sounds like Postal Service", and they play it. These are nice tunes about not really being able to leave your hometown, no matter how far away you move. You can't go home again, and these tunes are plainspoken and lovely. Awesome debut.
